Intro
Many beginners quit learning music because progress feels slow and unrewarding. I designed a concept for a gamified music app that turns learning into a fun, habit-forming experience — using streaks, XP, and missions to keep users engaged.
Goals
Make daily practice addictive through motivational UX
Visualize progress with clear levels, streaks, and skill maps
Keep the interface fun, lightweight, and beginner-friendly
Constraints
As a solo concept, I had no access to real user data or music lesson content. I focused on behavior psychology (Duolingo, Habitica) and combined it with mobile UI patterns. The challenge was balancing fun without overwhelming the learner.
Results
The concept sparked over 1.2K likes across X and Dribbble. Multiple educators and music learners expressed interest. It also helped me improve my gamification thinking and led to a collaboration offer with a learning app startup.
