Intro
As VR continues evolving, the interface between the user and the virtual world remains a key design challenge. I created a concept for Meta’s VR OS interface focused on clarity, comfort, and spatial logic — aimed at first-time users navigating immersive environments.
Goals
Design a clean and intuitive VR dashboard that works with hand gestures
Reduce cognitive load through visual hierarchy and depth
Follow Meta’s ecosystem design patterns while pushing for simplicity and future-forward UI
Constraints
This was a solo concept project with no access to real device constraints or internal APIs. I used available research on VR interaction models, Meta Quest UX patterns, and followed ergonomic design principles to simulate realistic use.
Results
The concept was well-received on social platforms, gaining 800+ interactions and sparking DMs from XR enthusiasts. It helped me understand spatial UI challenges and opened conversations with designers at two VR startups.
